A mint was established at Lincoln from Alfred to Edward I, after
which there is no certain evidence of its continuance.
There are gaps in the series: Althelstan did not appoint a moneyer
at Lincoln, nor were there any coins between 900-955 (Edward the
Elder-Edwig), and 1189-1216 (Richard I-John).
The site was immediately north of the Stone Bar [Stonebow]. (2-4)

The site is now occupied be a bank. (5)
