More information : [SK 9541 7853] ST. PANCRAS'S WELL [G.T.] (Site of). (1)

A chapel of St. Pancras once stood on the site of the Roman villa at Scampton. Close by is a spring bearing the same dedication. [See SK 97 NE 2 for Roman villa, site and possibly Christian
burials.] (2-3)

There is no evidence of a well at the published site (now under plough). A well immediately to the south has also been filled in. No substantiation of the chapel site (presumably SK 95497851) could be obtained. (4)
