Summary : Possible Medieval or Post Medieval mill mound, visible as an earthwork
More information : A flat topped mound, with slight remains of a ditch on the west, occupies a prominent position at SK 9950 1847. There is a local tradition that it was a mill mound. Surveyed at 1/2500. (1) The mill mound described by authority 1 was seen as an earthwork on poor quality air photographs. It is a roughly circular mound, centred at SK 9949 1846, approximately 12m in diameter. (Morph No. LI.781.11.1) This description is based on data from the RCHME MORPH2 database. (2)
