TORKSEY PRIORY

DESCRIPTION + /

Site of an Augustinian monastery, founded during the 12th century, dissolved in 1536. It was reported as being very poor in 1519, there being no dormitory or cloister, the bishop ordering these to be provided. Nothing appears to remain apart from a fishpond.
