Stone coffins and skeletons found in a stack yard some 594ft west of
the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel at Wyville; the date of the find is not definitely known, but is locally considered to be about 1842 (4). [The distance quoted agrees with the siting symbol on OS 25" 1904].
White (3) infers that the coffins were associated with the Church,
which existed before the present one was built in 1858

One of the coffins, medieval in type, lies at SK 8808 2939, in
the yard of the modern church. There are no surface indication
of a building at either of the published sites. (5)
