More information : In Budby a probable burial mound stands on high ground north west of Thoresby Park gates. It is 51' in diameter, 4-5' high, and has no surrounding ditch. (1) At SK 621827084 is a grass covered mound holding a small copse. The feature which has been extensively burrowed by rabbits was a maximum diameter of 23.2 m and a maximum height of 1.6 m; there is no ditch. Thoresby Estate Office have no knowledge of the origin of the mound and there is no known field name. Now pasture surrounded,the topographical situation and present appearance suggest it to be a bowl barrow. (2)
