More information : "About 200 yards east of the village (this extract is included in connection with 'Bilborough' - but it is presumed 'Strelley' is intended) and 10 yards north of Coventry Lane (Now Bilborough Road - SK 515 419) is a large, pear shaped mound, standing on high ground and running east and west with its larger end at the east. There is no trace of a surrounding ditch". (Nothing visible on available APs (RAF 1958)) (1) The above feature is now defaced by tree clearance, is at SK5151 4210. It is a spoil mound associated with the former stone pits to north and north-east. (2)
