Excavations uncovered remains of a Roman villa, probably of the winged corridor type, at Glebe Farm. A tesselated pavement, mosaics, a Roman coin and 1st - 4th century pottery was also found. Occupation of the site spanned from the late 1st century to the first of the 4th century. There are adjacent cropmarks of linear features, enclosures and a ring ditch. Scheduled.
