More information : SK 3537 9443. A rectangular moat situated NE of Ecclesfield Church.
There appears to have been a Causeway on the east side. (1)

A well-preserved, water filled moat. There are no building
foundations on the central platform, nor any evidence of a causeway.
Published survey (25" 1957) revised. (2)
