Summary : Two Neolithic polished stone axes, assigned to petrological Group VII, were found in November 1955 by a Mr J Saxon (and then given to Mr L Middleton of Bradwell) on the surface of a field adjoining and west of Bradwell Brook, 400 yards north of the church. They (the axes) were loaned to Sheffield City Museum.
More information : SK 1748 8144 Two polished stone axes, Group VII, Graig Llwyd, found in November 1955 by Mr. L. Middleton, of Bradwell, on the surface of a field adjoining and west of Bradwell Brook, 400 yards north of the church (2). On temporary loan to Sheffield City Museum. (1-2) Found by Mr. J.
