More information : [SK 1911 6231] Tumulus [O.E.] (1) A barrow called Rusden Low in a plantation near Kenslow Wood was excavated in November 1848 when three inhumations were found in a rock-grave with two beakers, one of which was an A2 Beaker (3) RB pottery, a coin of Constantius Chlorus, an iron knife and a bone comb probably represented a later interment. (2-3) The bone comb and knife accompanied an Anglian Secondary. Published survey (25") correct. (4) This plan publishes "Human Remains found" approx. 35.om. to the north of the mound, there is no surface indication of antiquity at the site and no authority for the publication was found.
