Fenny Bentley, consists of two distinct portions, the late mediaeval square tower and the early 17th century range attached on S. (2) See G.P. s AO/66/25/6 The locally used name and postal address is 'Cherry Orchard Farm'. 'Bentley Old Hall' is generally applied to the tower (i.e. medieval remains) only. (3) Cherry Orchard Farm House. (Old Hall on O.S.) Grade II* The house consists of two distinct portions - the late mediaveal square tower and the early C.17 range attached on S. Stone with tiled and stone slated roofs and stone stacks.The tower which has lost its parapet is of 3S, and retains its stone newel stair. Most of the openings are small and plain but there is a large C.17 mullioned and transomed window on S. and attic with stone mullioned windows, some transomed. Three window front. Interior has exposed ceiling beams. On N. of tower is 2S. wing with wood casements and of uncertain date. Coped gables. (4)
