NZ 715 108. Elm Ledge round cairns. Scheduled No NY/1037. (3)
The potential Neolithic barrow was also mapped as part of the North York Moors National Park NMP project, visible as an earthwork on air photographs and centred at NZ 7151 1090. The barrow is oval in plan with maximum dimensions measuring 23m by 19m with a long axis aligned north-east to south-west. Although recorded by the HER as a Neolithic Long Barrow and scheduled as a Neolithic Oval Barrow, in the absence of confirmation through excavation, it is hard to determine whether the feature is not merely a mutilated Bronze Age Round Barrow. The barrow is extant on the latest 2009 vertical photography. (4)
