More information : NZ 437 151 Cropmarks of a rectangular enclosure about 30m square lie immediately to the W of Quarry Farm, Ingleby Barwick. A second rectangular ditch encloses about the same area, indicating that the enclosure has been made twice on the same site. Fainter cropmarks to the W indicate a complex of enclosures. There are no finds by which to date these sites, though by analogy they may be Iron Age or Romano-British. (To the W of Quarry Farm is an area called `The Rings', whichmay be pertinent). (1)
