| Summary : Conjectural site of a Roman turret. The area is now built over. The site (if indeed there was such a turret) would be much closer to the fort than the present Tyne Bank, perhaps at about NZ 302 659, as an illustration in the 2nd Ed Handbook shows the river apparently within about 100yds of the fort. See NZ 26 NE 1 for alternative position of Turret 0A. |
More information : Turret 0A was perhaps at the end of the "wing-Wall" on the N bank of the River Tyne. (1)
