BATTLE STONE

A Bronze Age standing stone, possibly a marker for a nearby cist, excavated circa 1881, which is said to have contained a sword handle and an axe. Traditionally associated with the Battle of Homildon Hill in 1402 (see NT 92 NE 50). Scheduled.
