Alleged site of a Roman milecastle derived by measurement from other monuments. Excavation in 1928 failed to find any trace and the area is now covered by modern development.

Milecastle 7 (Benwell Hill), has not been identified. [Probable siting would be in the area NZ 208651 - i.e. mid-way between Turrets 6b and 7a]. (1)
