Monument Number 247748

Hob Uid: 247748
Location :
Bracknell Forest
Winkfield
Grid Ref : SU8910067540
Summary : Bowl barrow
More information : At SU 8910 6754, on the crest of a ridge of high ground,
a circular mound was discovered during field investigation. It is
1.8 m high with a flat top and a very slight impression of a
surrounding ditch. It has been planted with trees and the western
perimeter cut back by a fire-break, but is otherwise well preserved.
The situation and appearance strongly suggest a large, bowl barrow.
Surveyed at 1/2500. (1)
