Deserted village "Mongwell 610878. Fewer than 10 householders in 1428. In 1279 there was a church, 2 carucates and 2 virgates in demesne; 16 customary tenants and 7 freemen". (1)
SU 610878. Depopulation began in early C14th. In late C19th village consisted of Mongewell House, church and rectory. Whole area covered by buildings of College. (2)
