Summary : Lock on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
More information : SU524663. Monkey Marsh Lock is one of only two
locks out of 13 on the Kennet Navigation Section of the Kennet
and Avon Canal which retains its 18th Century features. It
probably dates from about 1723 and still has its horizontal
plank lining supported by iron railings every 6 ft.
