Summary : A bowl barrow in Micheldever Wood.
More information : [SU 52773721 TUMULUS [O.E.]. (1) Bowl barrow,cratered by large hollow at centre. It is half a mile NE of the site identified by Grundy as that of the 'Broken Barrow' mentioned in A.S. charters. (2) Bowl barrow, 25.0m. in diameter by 2.0m. in height, with no trace of a ditch. In Forestry Commission Forest. Published 1/2500 revised. (3) No change. (4) A small mound immediately to the south at (SU 52753719) may be another barrow or, equally, spoil from antiquarian excavations. (5) Round barrow, scheduled 174a, and 588a. (6-7) Bowl barrow 25m wide and 2m high. For further details see archive report. (8).
