Published as probably a villa (4). (2-4) The presence of a Roman building is confirmed by a scatter of Roman brick and tile (but no pottery) on the ploughed surface extending for approximately 30.0m about the published siting. This is on a slight S.E. slope. There is no trace of a building platform and no particular concentration of material. The fragment of armilla, pottery and tiles are no longer traceable in Newbury Museum. (5)
