More information : [SU 46707240] Camp [G.T.]. (1) Bussock Camp, Chieveley, an Iron Age Hill fort near Totterdown Farm has a double bank and ditch on the south and east, with only a single bank remaining on the north and west. There appear to be three entrances on the east side. The only finds hve been half-calcined flints, possibly pot boilers. (2) Bussock Camp is situated at the end of a gravelly ridge and only to the north is there a steep natural slope. The remaining three sides face onto level ground. The camp is bivallate with the exception of the west side, where, for the most part only a scarp remains. The bank here may have been dug into for road gravel.
