More information : [SU 46707240] Camp [G.T.]. (1)

Bussock Camp, Chieveley, an Iron Age Hill fort near Totterdown
Farm has a double bank and ditch on the south and east, with
only a single bank remaining on the north and west. There appear
to be three entrances on the east side. The only finds hve been
half-calcined flints, possibly pot boilers. (2)

Bussock Camp is situated at the end of a gravelly ridge and
only to the north is there a steep natural slope. The remaining
three sides face onto level ground.

The camp is bivallate with the exception of the west side,
where, for the most part only a scarp remains. The bank here
may have been dug into for road gravel. Only the northern
entrance appears to be original. Resurvey at 1/2500. (3)
