Slight indication of ditch - disturbance on E. side. (1)
[SU 3636 2722] A bowl barrow, 17.0m in average diameter and
1.5m high with a ditch visible surrounding the mound. A
trench, c.1.0m wide, has been cut across the barrow from NE-SW
and c.0.5m deep, shows a flint core. In a wood; the barrow is
covered with trees and brambles. (2)
The surrounding ditch is not surveyable, but the central mound
is as described by Auth.2 and a 25 inch survey has been made. (3)
No change. Published 1/2500 survey correct. (4) |
