Summary : A Bronze Age round barrow is visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork. The barrow is no longer visible as an earthwork or cropmark and may have been completely ploughed out. Liddington 3, as Grinsell classifed the barrow, appears as a low mound with a diameter of 21m and a height of 0.6m. A second reputed Bronze Age round barrow is not visible on aerial photographs of the area.

SU 22607952. Round barrow; with circular chalk soil-mark;
possibly the remains of another at SU 22497952. (2)

Approximately centred SU 22617948. A probable round barrow
21.0 metres in diameter and 0.6 metres high. Located on a
valley floor and under plough. Divorced survey at 1:2500.

There is no trace of a second barrow on the ground or on OS APs. (3)

The Bronze Age round barrow, referred to by the previous authorities, is visible as an earthwork and has been mapped from aerial photographs including those in reference 2. The barrow, centred at SU 2260 7948, appears as a low mound with a diameter of 28m. On more recent aerial photographs the barrow is no longer visible as an earthwork or cropmark and may have been completely ploughed out or simply under rough pasture. The second reputed Bronze Age round barrow, referred to by authorities 2 and 3, is not visible on aerial photographs of the area. (4)
