CHURCHWARD HOUSE

Manager's office to the Great Western Railway Swindon Works. The building was originally the iron store constructed 1846 by Daniel Gooch containing in the southeast corner a suite of offices. The offices were extended in 1855-6 and in 1887. The building is of two storeys constructed of rubble with brick and ashlar dressings and slate roofs. The building was refurbished in 1989-90 and still used as offices.
