A mound believed by A D Passmore to be the remains of a round barrow although standing upon a clay subsoil. He hopes to excavate it. (2)

Cahcart King notes a vanished castle called Burtuna, possibly this Burton, and notes earthworks at Burton which may be evidence for it. (3)
