Summary : Rectangular enclosure visible on APs and situated within a field system. Bronze Age pottery has been recovered from the area of the enclosure.
More information : SU 13857470. A rectangular enclosure of 1 acre. Probably LBA as middle and late BA sherds and some beaker sherds have been found in its vicinity (actual find-spots SU 13817462, 13897462, 14077466 and 13857483). It falls in a Celtic field system, which is possibly contemporary. (SU 17 SW 42). (1-2) The enclosure has been almost completely ploughed out, but is still visible as a crop-mark. (3) Nothing visible on available air photographs. (4) The enclosure was recorded when the area was mapped at 1:10,000 from air photographs. (5)
