Summary : Roman pottery, including Savernake ware was found north of Barbury Castle.
More information : (SU 14757640) Sherds, mainly late 1st century/early
2nd century, including Savernake ware, were found in an area of about
6 metres square outside the north rampart of Barbury Castle
(SU 17 NW 8) and are now in Devizes Museum (Acc No 42.1972). (1)

Another scatter of Roman pottery was also found north of the rampart at SU 14757645. Devizes Museum (Acc. No. 1985.115). (2)
