More information : NZ 1118 Very good earthworks of village shrinkage at Cleatlam. (1)

NZ 120187 Area of probable village shrinkage but no distinct earthworks on air photographs. (2)

A small area of earthworks of the type associated with depopulation is recognizable at NZ 11841874. It consists of a hollow-way, parallel with the modern road, and abutting croft banks; only one or two house platforms can be identified. Surveyed at 1:2500.

Isolated banks occur in open spaces between property on the south and east sides of the village, but there are no more intelligible remains. (3)
