King Manor And Queen Manor

Hob Uid: 218464
Location :
Wiltshire
Clarendon Park
Grid Ref : SU1765031160
Summary : Two royal palaces documented.
More information : Humps and hollows here with many large collected
flints. Trees grow on this humpy ground and it measures about
28 x 15 paces, the long axis being NW-SE. It looks as if it had
been used as a quarry for building material, and the largest
flints lie on the hillside toward the N. where is Queen Manor Farm,
but not on the S. side. No actual walling is now visible above
ground. [SU17653116]. (1)
