More information : SU 07796495 Ditch (NR). (1) SU 07726504 to SU 07806482. A cross-ridge dyke extends for 250m in a N-S direction and comprises a ditch up to 1.2m deep and 10.0m wide with vague suggestions of a bank on the W side in places. Probably of LBA or IA origin as a field system or ranch boundary. Resurveyed at 1:2500. (2)
The probable prehistoric boundary, described by the previous authorities, appears to be part of a boundary to the north, described in SU 06 SE 26, and may form part of a system of boundaries across Tan Hill, possibly incorporating the boundaries to the south and west, which are described in SU 06 SE 30 and 40. It has been mapped from air photographs. (3)
