Sedbury Hall, a Grecian style mansion which belonged to the Scrope family in the mid-15th century. In 1463 licence was granted to celebrate mass in the chapel or oratory there. (2)
The hall comprises a rectangular block in Classical style with an older W wing and a small modern court on the W. An embattled tower of three storeys and 45ft square, is the oldest part still standing. The building is similar in design to the 15th century Mortham Tower (NZ 01 SE 4). (3)
