More information : Hanford Park: A Bronze Age flanged axe, found near the River Stour, is now in the BM (92 9 1 307). The axe, 16.3cm long, has a stop-ridge and central ribs at the base of the blade. (1) No information was obtained upon this axe during field investigation. The fields bordering the river were under pasture. From the BM accession number the axe was evidently in the Durden collection. (2) |
