More information : [ST 42757380] Tumulus [G.T.]. (1) Small round barrow? eight ft. in diameter and three ft. high, no ditch. (2) An indefinite mound 5.5m. S.W.-N.E., 3.3m. N.W. - S.E. and 0.5m. high. It may be a very small barrow, but it is situated within a field system (ST 47 SW 4), and looks more like a fragment of field bank. (See G.Ps. AO /65/43/3 & 4). 1/2500 survey revised. (3)
This location falls within the area mapped from aerial photographs by English Heritage's Severn Estuary Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment (RCZA) National Mapping Programme (NMP) aerial survey, but no earthwork mound as described was identified at the map reference given on Walton Down during that survey.
