Summary : Smelt mill extant in 1710, dismantled in 1883.
More information : "An old smelt mill at Jeffries (Hunstanworth) was leased
and reconditioned and ... was put in work in 1710 ... and only
finally dismantled in 1883."
(Jeffrey's Rake, NY 954473). (1)

The whole of the small valley of the Bolts Burn is covered with
disused lead workings, and the site of Jeffries smelt mill was not
located during investigation. (2)
