Summary : Parish church. Mostly 12th and 13th century; restored 1663 and 1867. Sandstone rubble earlier parts, snecked sandstone 19th century parts, with quoins and ashlar dressings; lead-covered roof with stone gable copings and cross finials. West tower; aisled nave with south porch; chancel with north vestries.
More information : (NY 99683923) St Thomas's Church (NAT) (1) St Thomas' Church, Stanhope, has a Norman lower stage to the west tower and the nave is late 12th century. (2) St Thomas's Church, Stanhope, still in use for public worship. (3) Church of St Thomas, Parish church, mostly 12th and 13th century, restored 1663 and 1867. (4)
