Summary : Earthwork remains of four probable round barrows at Bowes.

Four elliptical tumuli that appear to be unopened. (2)

Four turf-covered earthen mounds, probably round barrows. 'A' and 'B' are 11.0m and 12.0m in diameter respectively, with maximum heights of 0.3m and 0.6m. 'C' and 'D', approximately 18.0m and 16.0m in diameter and 0.8m and 0.6m high, have both been mutilated, which results in their present slightly elongated appearances.
