containing five huts each with a forecourt. Part destroyed by

NY 85939763. Situated on south-east facing slopes are the remains of
seven enclosures with associated but sites levelled into the hill
slope. Some have remains of an enclosing wall, and five of the six
enclosures have south-east facing entrances. The seventh ('A' on
1:2500 illustration) is possibly a small stock enclosure.
One hut circle, (B) 7.5m diameter is formed by a stone wall and back
scarp the remaining sites being mainly circular, levelled stances
revetted with stone.
The site has been partly mutilated by military excavations and
quarrying, but appears to conform to the pattern of accepted Romano
British settlement.
A small, poorly preserved field system is evidenced by a few stone
clearance heaps to the south-east, and north-east, its area on these
sides limited by marshy ground. On the better drained slopes to the
north-west only fragmentary stretches of low banking could be
located.
