Summary : Ruined bastle of late 16th/early 17th century date, east of West Ealingham Farm. The monument is one of three such monuments in the area, the others being found at NGR NY 83833 80709 and NGR 85088 80912.
More information : NY 846808 East of West Ealingham Farm are two walls of a bastle 36 X 24 feet, with walls 4-4 1/2 feet thick. There is a
doorway in the W. gable end, and the wall above suggests a roof pitch of 45 -50 degrees. (See Type-site NY 88 SE 14). (1)
