Summary : Ruined remains of a bastle or pele tower of unknown date. The monument is one of three in the area, the other being found at NGR NY 83833 80709 and NGR NY 84657 80828.
More information : [NY 85078091](2) At Coathill are the remains of a pele, two walls of which still stand to 3m. Only the foundations of the others are visible. (1-2)

The probable remains of a pele house or bastle walls, 1.5m thick, now average only 1m in height, see photographs. Published survey (25") revised. (3)
