More information : Remains of wooden steam grab dredger crane pontoon BRITON FERRY beached pre March 1957 between the east foreshore of Severn esturary and Gloucester Sharpness Canal at Purton. It forms part of the ship's graveyard or hulk assemblage known as the Purton Hulks. (1)
BRITON FERRY Grab dedger c 1911 built by Neath Harbour Commission & (crane) Priestman Bros. of Hull and London. Steam engine. When not used as dredger employed as floating crane for cargo work. Beached after August 1956 and pre March 1957. Length 50ft, Width 20ft, depth 6ft (2)
