Christopher Turner in the 1860s built a series of sets of farmbuildings incorporating the progressive ideas of High Victorian farming. They were practical in nature but meant to be attractive to the eye. On of these farms was Grange farm which has a substantial farmhouse, farmworkers cottages, Pigeon cote centrally placed as a tower, crowned by a weathervane. (2) |
