Summary : Iron Age/Roman enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs.
More information : Iron Age/Roman enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, TA 1458 1519. Two have four visible sides, the other two are fragmentary. The largest enclosure is 56 metres by 59 metres, and the partial enclosure is comparable in size. The rectangular enclosure is 42 metres by 14 metres, and is aligned with the larger enclosures. A short linear feature abutting the large enclosure almost links the two. The field containing the enclosures also has ploughed level post medieval field boundaries on historic mapping until at least 1946; these were not mapped. (1-2)
