Pele tower of early/mid 15th century date, with an early/mid 18th century wing to the left and 19th century additions to the rear. The street front was refaced and refenestrated in the late 18th/early 19th century. Built of stone rubble, with a rendered and painted front, and tiled roofs. Now a hotel. Listed Grade II*. (3)
The tower at Haltwhistle was extant in 1415, and following the addition of a 3-storey wing in the early 18th century, was refaced and merged into a single building, opening as a hotel in 1880. (4,5) |
