CONSETT COUNTY COURT

Consett County Court is located in a purpose-built Telephone Exchange that was built in the 1930s. The building was converted to the present Court in the Late 20th Century.
The building consists of two storeys and is made up of brown brick with stone dressings. There are three bays in the front elevation of the building and two dormer windows in the roof. The original windows of the building have been replaced with UPVC double-glazing.
The interior of the building consists of a District Judge's chamber and a public waiting area. The floor area of the building covers 228.74sq/ft (69.71sq/m).

As of 2012 it is understood that this building is being considered for disposal.
