Summary : Also known as Ridley Bastle, built in the late 16th or early 17th century and altered and extended in the 20th century. The two storey structure is built of stone rubble with a slate roof.
More information : NY 79336384 Discovered during field investigation: A small, modernised bastle house, comparable with others in the area which are generally ascribed to the 16th/17th centuries. See GP AO/56/353/5. (1) Now further modernised and named "Ivy Cottage" (a). Not outstanding. (2) NY 793638 Bastle (modernised) (See Type site NY 88 SE 14). (3) Bastle, built in the late 16th or early 17th century and altered and extended in the 20th century. The two storey structure is built of stone rubble with a slate roof. Listed Grade II. (4) Listed by Dodds. Also known as Ridley Bastle. (5)
