Summary : Three inscribed Roman centurial stones were found when blasting, close to the Roman Wall at Cawfields Quarry, in 1937. They were removed to the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle in 1956.

They were removed to the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle in 1956. (1-2) No further information. The quarry is still in use. (3) These centurial stones are described and illustrated in Roman Inscriptions in Britain, Nos 1676, 1677 and 1678. (4)
