Summary : The site of a large stone known locally as Arthur's Stone due to the traditionally held belief that the site was the location of one of King Arthur's battles. The large stone is just visible in the ditch across the road from an early Neolithic chambered tomb. It is apparently lying on its side, circa 3 metres north-west of the burial chamber, although its function and the nature of its relationship to the burial chamber are uncertain.
More information : Another large stone is just visible in the ditch across the road from the chamber, apparently lying on its side, c.3m north west of the monument. Known locally as 'Arthur's Stone', its function and the nature of its relationship to the burial chamber are uncertain. Although the burial chamber is scheduled this stone is not. (1)
