EAST RIDING CREMATORIUM

DESCRIPTION + /

The East Riding Crematorium was built in 1997 for the East Riding Crematorium Company, it was designed by R P Belt & Associates and built by T A Hebden. The design has a Romanesque influence, the main chapel has an apse and a tower with a pyramidal roof. The building is of red brick, with tile roofs. Unusually for an British crematorium the building includes a coffee shop and meeting room. The crematorium is set in open grass land with the more formal Garden of Rest incorporating a columbarium.
